Falernum Syrup

An essential syrup to develop Tiki’s and other sophisticated cocktails.

Traditionally made from cloves, almond and lime juice, there are just as much Falernum recipes as there are bars. Giffard’s Falernum recipe is whished as close as possible to the original recipe.

Royal Bermuda Yatch Club Daiquiri

Cocktail created in the eponymous club, quoted in Trader Vic's Bartender's Guide.

Preperation

  • Glass: cocktail
  • Method: shake
  • Ice: -
  • Garnish: -
  1. Add the ingredients to a shaker
  2. Ice up 2/3 of the shaker with cubed ice
  3. Shake vigorously for 7 to 10 seconds
  4. Strain into a chilled glass with no ice
  5. Serve

Passion Fruit Zombie
Ingredients

  • 30 ml Light rum
  • 30 ml Aged rum
  • 15 ml Falernum Syrup
  • 30 ml passion fruit flesh
  • 10 ml lime juice
  • 4 absinthe dashes
  • 2 dashes aromatic bitters
 
Preperation
Difficulty level: ***

  • Glass: hurricane / tiki
  • Method: shake
  • Ice: crushed
  • Garnish: mint sprig, 1/2 passion fruit
  1. Add the ingredients to a shaker
  2. Ice up 2/3 of the shaker with cubed ice
  3. Shake vigorously for 7 to 10 seconds
  4. Strain into a glass filled with crushed ice
  5. Garnish & serve

Tikki Sour

  • Method: blend
  • Ice: -
  • Garnish: orange slice, cherry
  1. For the ingredients into a blender
  2. Ice up the blender with a bit of crushed ice
  3. Blend until smooth
  4. For out to a glass with no ice
  5. Garnish & serve
